      Description

The PDF in question renders overlapped columns on Mac OS X 10.4 and substitutes Lucida for Helvetica and Times.

FEINER: ----> Found font: lucidabright-italic family: Italic for: lucidabright- Italic
FEIN: Font Substitution: Found java font: LucidaBright-Italic for named font Times-Italic

When testing on Snow Leopard (10.6.2), the overlapping is not as severe but still present. I see Ariel being substituted for Helvetica:

FINE: Font Substitution: Found type1 font: Arial-BoldMT for named font Helvetica-Bold
FINE: Font Substitution: Found type1 font: ArialMT for named font Helvetica

      Test case and screeshots attached.

Nice to see this old file again. I guess we'll half to see if any font path changed between the two versions.

Can you take another look at this one. Can you also make sure you have the Ghostscript fonts installed?

        • Retested this test.pdf using ICEpdf 4.2 nightly build from March 8, 2011 (svn rev. 24106) on OS X 10.6.6.
        • Results when using ICEpdf (not PRO) show no overlapping columns, although a few of the characters might be overlapped - see screen shot).
        • Results when using ICEpdf PRO are flawless. Considering this invalid as ICEpdf PRO is required to fully support this font properly.
